Daydreamers Diary
Monday mornings breakfast
    Probably in bed
    Waitresses attending
    Sundaynight was mad
But in my hand
    Out in the cold
There is a paper to be sold.
    Good morning ma’am
    Thanks very much
    People avoiding me to touch.
Tuesday is for tennis
    and picking up a date
    in my new Ferrari.
    Tonight will be so great.
Whatever happenend
    What went wrong
And then I used to be so strong
    I had a job,
    a wife and son
They’re all gone through what I’ve done.
Wednessday will be lazy,
    won’t have had much sleep.
    Taking home my girlfriend,
    never heard her weep.
If I could only
    change the clock
and turn it back some thousand days.
I’d move away from heavy drinks
and pass along the betting place.
Thursday’s for the barbers
    and try another suit.
    There will be a party,
    must be looking good.
Where will I sleep
    this freezing night?
    Salvation Army might be right.
    But if they have
    no room for me,
I’ll have to find somewhere to be.
Friday to the movies
    Afterwards some wine
    Presents for a birthday,
    Weekend will be fine.
